2020 Derby Day Festival: 241st Epsom Derby July 02, 2020 by Marc Jerbs

On Saturday, the Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, United Kingdom will host the 241st Epsom Derby, which is also known as the Investec Derby.

This is a Group 1 race open the three year olds colts and fillies and will cover a total race distance of 2,240 meters.

The Epsom Derby was originally scheduled to be held last June 6 but twas postponed due the COVID-19 pandemic.

Safety precaution are in place for Saturday's races with only essential personnel at the racecourse.

The Derby Day Festival scheduled races are not open for racing aficionados.

Post time is set at 4:55pm BST and the Epsom Derby will have 17 race participants.

Renowned trainer Aidan O'Brien has fielded 7 horses on Saturday's race as he seeks his eight Derby win.

He has listed Mogul, Russian Emperor, Vatican City, English King, Kameko, Love and Peaceful and Frankly Darling for this year's Epsom Derby.

The sportsbook handicappers have installed the English King as the race favorite to win Saturday's Epsom Derby.
