On Thursday, stage 12 of Tour de France will start from Briancon and will end up at Alpe d'Huez.
The general classification was directly changed by the superb attack of Jumbo-Visma's Jonas Vingegaard.
He's the new leader and has a two-minute 16 seconds lead over DSM's Romain Bardet.
Stage 12 is slightly longer at 165.1km and has more climbing with three hors categorie ascents which will finish at the summit of Alpe d'Huez.
Jumbo-Visma will have a luxury to defend the lead of Jonas Vingegaard as they let him race cautiously to recuperate after exerting a lot of energy in Stage 11.
The sportsbook handicappers have installed Jonas Vingegaard as the favorite to win the 2022 Tour de France.
Tadej Pogacar looms as his major competitor until the last stage of the race.
